1. Have an Easter Egg Hunt in Your Cabin

There is nothing more fun than a traditional Easter egg hunt, and what better place to have it than in your cabin from Alpine Chalet Rentals! Fill up some plastic Easter eggs with jelly beans and other goodies, then hide them throughout the cabin for the kids to find. After all the eggs have been found, play several more times to see if you can come up with some creative hiding spots such as on the pool table or under the bed. The kids will have a blast on their hunt for the eggs, but just try to remember where you hid them all all!

2. Attend an Easter Craft Show

While spending Easter in Gatlinburg, take the kids over to see the Easter Craft Show presented by the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community! This is a fantastic opportunity to watch more than 100 artists create their crafts by hand, including candles, pottery, wood carvings and more! The Easter Craft show is held at the Gatlinburg Convention Center in downtown Gatlinburg and offers free admission for everyone. The event is held just before Easter from Thursday, March 29 to Saturday, March 31 and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m daily. This is a perfect time to pick up a new Easter basket or other unique souvenirs to bring back home from the Smokies!

3. Hop Down the Bunny Trail

Spend a fun afternoon exploring the “bunny trails” at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is just minutes from our cabins in Gatlinburg TN! The park is home to several kid-friendly trails where you can introduce your children to hiking and perhaps even spot Peter Cottontail along the way! Easter is a great time to visit these trails because you can see the park’s famous wildflowers in full bloom, which just adds to the park’s spectacular scenery! Other sights to see along the trails include log bridges, creeks and historic buildings from European settlers.

4. Decorate Easter Eggs

When staying at Alpine Chalet Rentals during your Easter vacation, you have access to a fully equipped kitchen with all of the modern amenities of home. This means that you and your family can decorate Easter eggs to celebrate the holiday! Bring an egg-decorating kit from home, or stop by one of our local grocery stores to pick up a decorating kit, eggs and other supplies. After hard-boiling the eggs, paint them with your choice of fun designs and display them proudly throughout your vacation!
