3 Tips For An Awesome Family Vacation

Travelling with your kids (especially young children) isn’t always easy. When you stay at our chalets in Gatlinburg, we want you to have the best trip possible. That’s why our vacation specialists have come up with a handful of great tips to keep you and your family happy during your next stay in the Smokies.
1. Let your kids in on the planning process.
Now, we’re not saying you should put your kids in charge of planning your vacation! Nevertheless, it is important that your children aren’t being dragged somewhere they would absolutely hate. The best thing to do is to give your kids options. For instance, narrow down your choice of chalets to three different rentals in your price range and then let your kids help decide which one to stay at. Giving your kids a little input can go a long way.
2. Schedule some downtime.
Don’t burn your kids out by doing too much in one day. Instead, schedule some time in the afternoon to relax in your Gatlinburg chalet. Having an hour or two to take a nap or lounge around will do wonders for everyone’s mood. With high speed internet, a home theater, classic arcade games, air hockey tables, and more, your kids won’t mind taking it easy in our chalets.
3. Invite your parents or siblings to join you on vacation.
It always helps to have an extra set of eyes when you’re vacationing with very young children. Why not let Grandma, Grandpa, or Uncle John come along and give you a hand with your little ones? Family vacations are a great opportunity for your kids to spend time with relatives that they might not get to see on a regular basis.
If you do decide to turn your vacation into a family reunion, Alpine Chalet Rentals has plenty of room! With everything from one to twelve bedrooms, our chalets in Gatlinburg can accommodate parties of up to 54 people. Visit our Cabins page to see all of our amazing properties for rent!
