Winterfest is one of the most enchanting Pigeon Forge events, with a display of over five million glistening lights in front of a snowy backdrop. Winterfest celebrations take place in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville. Taking a round-trip tour on the Winterfest Trolley Tour of Lights in Pigeon Forge is a relaxing ways to watch the captivating light displays. The tour departs from the Pigeon Forge Trolley Station located at Patriot Park. Titanic Pigeon Forge is a unique attraction offering weekly Real Snow Flurries off the bow of a replica of the ill-fated HMS Titanic and Fireworks Displays.
A highpoint of the last week of Winterfest is Saddle Up. After chowing down at the Chuckwagon Cookoff, some of those extra calories can be worked off at the Cowboy Dance. Western music featuring top names and cowboy poets entertain young and old. After the festivities, one of the best ways to enjoy the magic of the Smoky Mountains is staying at one of the many cabins in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Within a 10 minute drive, visitors to the area can choose from a variety of cabins with posh amenities. A cup of hot chocolate on a balcony, hot tub with a breath-taking vista of the mountains is a great way to herald the winter season. Alpine Cabin Rentals feature modern amenities such as high speed internet which makes it easy to plan a Winterfest itinerary. Family-friendly options come with gaming systems, pool tables, cable/satellite TV, and movie theaters. And, of course, what could be more memorable than snuggling in front of a fireplace in a log cabin after experiencing the stunning artistry at 3rd Annual Professional Ice Carving Competition at Titanic’s outdoor park? Cabins in Gatlinburg provide easy access to the Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade, Christmas on Ice, and the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop & Fireworks. Alpine Cabin Rentals in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are near year-round attractions including the Great Smoky National Park, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Wonderworks, Gatlinburg Space Needle, horseback riding, zip lining, dining, and shopping.
