Enjoy a Free Bluegrass Concert at Pigeon Forge’s Stringtime in the Smokies Festival
Bluegrass fans will be thrilled to hear that it’s almost time for the 2014 Stringtime in the Smokies festival! This awesome celebration of Appalachian music is returning this August with even more music and fun. Read on to learn everything you need to know about this Smoky Mountain tradition.

Where and When
Stringtime in the Smokies will be held on August 2, 2014 at the Old Mill Square. The festivities will begin at 11 a.m. and admission is completely free! You’ll find the Old Mill at 3341 Old Mill St, Pigeon Forge, TN 37836.
What to Expect
Stringtime in the Smokies celebrates the music and culture of the Great Smoky Mountains. There will be numerous vendors and artwork from talented local artisans. Guests will also have the chance to compete in the annual Smoky Mountain Cornhole Tournament. This popular competition features a grand prize of $1,000! To sign up for the tournament, fill out the official Cornhole Tournament registration form.
Musical Lineup
Evening performances begin at 7p.m. and will feature a wonderful collection of bluegrass bands. Savor the witty songs of Grassroots Gringos,
a 5-member band from Knoxville, TN or the highly anticipated performance given by guitar duo Richard Bennett and Wyatt Rice. Richard Bennett has worked with bluegrass legends such as J.D. Crowe and the New South and Wyatt Rice is an original member of the Tony Rice Unit. Progressive bluegrass fans will enjoy the sounds of Robinella Bailey and her band.
